Gratuitous Connor Post

Lest you think darling Connor is all cuteness and light, this is how I generally see him. He will lie like this for hours as I am working at my desk in the kitchen. You can see that he’s sound asleep.Charming, eh?

  4. I wonder what this means in 'dog language'? It's a position that is completely submissive and to sleep that way seems...odd. Perhaps it's an expression of how safe he feels?

  9. Love your blog. Best of all is the artwork at his level! We also did that for our dog.

  10. As I read this, I looked behind me to see my dog in the exact same position! Nice to think that they must feel totally safe (at least until they sense you taking a picture of them!) That is some fur bed that your dog is sleeping on!

  11. Hi Meg, What in the world would we do without our faithful (and some times naughty) helpers? Mary

  12. Hilarious. Mine used to "air out" like that too- usually with his head hanging off over the side of the dog bed.

  13. My cat does the same thing, only he has fur to cover up most of the unmentionables. This position must be the height of comfortableness.

  14. My first greyhound did this ( a girl), but my second can't ( a boy). The beagleweinerdog ( a girl) does it regularly. In greyhound land, they call this " roaching" which is such a gross reference...

  15. I was taught a long time ago that a dog will lay (or lie) this way when he / she is totally trusting of his surroundings. Guess that's Conner!
