Decorators Club Lecture Series

My wonderful friend, Janice, who’s the PR Director at Scalamandré told me about a great series of lectures in New York hosted by the Decorators Club. I am already planning to go to at least one of them!

Blogger and author, Emily Evans Eerdmans helped select this year’s list of lectures, with the theme Modern Visionaries: Women of Design. The first lecture was last week, but there’s still time to take in the next four.

October 3 - Vanessa Bell presented by Dr. Alexandra Gerstein

October 17 - Beatrix Farrand presented by Judith B. Tankard

November 7 - Maria Pergay presented by Suzanne Demisch

March 6 - Suzanne Belperron presented by Nico Landrigan

March 20 - Ruby Ross Wood presented by Mitchell Owens

Wild horses won’t keep me from attending the Ruby Ross Wood lecture, given by fellow blogger and all-round aesthete and great guy, Mitch Owens!image

The Decorators Club Education Fund, Inc. was established in 1960 to support interior design education. The fund sponsors an annual portfolio competition for students in six colleges in the New York metropolitan area that offer BFA programs in interior design. The grants that are awarded are made possible by proceeds from these lectures and the generous support of corporate sponsors, members, friends, and colleagues.

  1. I think I'll have to go to the RRW lecture, too. Combination of the subject matter and the lecturer is too good to pass up. Shall we rendezvous? Reggie
