30th Baltimore Summer Antiques Show

The 30th annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show will take place this weekend and I am meeting up with two blogging friends, Architect Design and JCB to take in the show.

One of the highlights of this year’s show will be a Monet painting, for show and sale for the first time in nearly 100 years. The painting, Inondation à Giverny, is for sale for $5.8 million. Apparently the Swiss family which owned it needed a quick cash infusion, so they sold the painting to a dealer. BSAS Monet

There are some pieces of jewelry that I wouldn’t say no to owning, like these two fabulous cuff bracelets. BSAS bracelet Schlumberger, Paris BSAS bracelet by Buccellati

Or to this necklace!BSAS Cipullo There’s also a great old map of the Chesapeake Bay drawn up by Capt. John Smith.BSAS Chesapeake Bay And for my chinoiserie fix, there’s this lovely piece.BSAS Satsuma koroThe Baltimore Summer Antiques Show runs Thursday to Sunday at the Baltimore Convention Center. Okay, I give up -- what is the chinoiserie piece used for, or is it decorative??
