Martha Stewart had a pretty funny quiz today, so I thought I’d share it with you. Through her ups and downs, I’ve been a fan of Martha’s for a long time, well before most people knew who she was. In fact, I’d saved Volume I, Issue 1 of her magazine, and when I moved to the UK, I sold it on eBay for $250!
She’s looking younger and younger each year, although perhaps not as young as this.
Take the quiz here, and let us know what you come up with. Leader? Icon? Rebel?
Icon. Are you already a one-name wonder? If not, we're guessing it's only a matter of time. Just as "Martha" represents the best in creative living, your name will stand for excellence in your field.
ReplyDeleteI am a three-name wonder!
DeleteThis was fun, and I'm an original Martha fan as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm an Icon. What were you?
Three-name icon!
DeleteI'm a leader, which actually makes my heart sink as I knew that - it's always me who gets everyone going in my household and it would be so lovely to take a back seat once in a while.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, being British and living in France, I don't really get the whole Martha thing, but I am curious and will be dong a bit of browsing on her website!
Look at her "good things" as some of them are quite creative.
DeleteIcon?! Hardly, but always fun to fantasize for a second or two.
ReplyDeleteOf course you are!
DeleteIcon. Where? When? How? And I thought I was a Rebel. Thanks to you and Martha for the fun quiz.
ReplyDeleteIconic rebel!
DeleteIcon, though I was pretty sure I was a rebel, too!
ReplyDeleteRebellious icon!
DeleteIcon. Must have been the pink guest bedroom! Fun.
ReplyDeleteI didn't pick that, but still got icon!
DeleteLeader?! Well, maybe behind the scenes. This was fun and lately I've been appreciating Martha just a bit more.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Mary
You are a leader!
DeleteI'm an Icon. Would rather have been a Rebel. You can do so many things with a blowtorch!
ReplyDeleteIcon with a blowtorch!
DeleteIcon!!! My spouse and daughters will have a field day with this assessment. In their eyes, I am the quintessential nerd/relic. Damn, and I just chucked all my MS mags dating back to the first issue! Ssshhhh, don't tell the hubs how many pounds you got for that one...
ReplyDeleteI sold the first year's worth of Martha's mag when I moved, and got a load of $$ for them!
DeleteI got Icon lol -

I got "ICON" but I suspect I'm really a rebel in disguise...
ReplyDeleteMeg how did you discover the magazine??? My first issue was a December was it 1983 she was sitting in front of a Christmas tree inspecting an Organza ribbon. I have never seen the first issue, sigh. I am a leader! hmm Leaders inspire, motivate, persuade, begile, delegate that is exhausting.
ReplyDeleteI got ICON! And am very happy about that!
ReplyDeleteA superb and excellent blog display.Thanks.
