And it’s midnight. And Connor needs to go out before we go to bed. I usually walk him, but I don’t feel like putting on all of my snow gear like boots, gloves, a hat and a big coat. So I bundled Connor up instead, and sent him out back.I think that he looks like a Louis Vuitton handbag in this outfit, but it keeps him dry and it’s still snowing big chunky flakes.
He snuffled around for a while and then got down to business.
But not before he romped a little in the snow, and barked at me to come out with him.
I did go out a little earlier with him and I tried to light the candles in the candelabra hanging from the tree.
The snow had wet the wicks enough that they were difficult to light and the wind was blowing enough that only one candle stayed lit for more than a minute!
Cool candelabra! I have a less elaborate one outdoors too and I found some fake candles that turn on at dusk and off automatically 6 hours later. I love it when it's "lit"!
ReplyDeleteLost... I will have to look for those candles! Are they battery operated?
DeleteChandelier looks magical...
ReplyDeleteThanks! It would have looked better with all of the candles lit!
DeleteConnor has the most sweetest eyes. He does look like a LV bag to be honest. The outdoor chandelier is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThey are very soulful!
DeleteConnor looks so handsome in his coat! I wish we had a little of that snow.

You don't want this snow! It's accompanied by Arctic weather!
DeleteYour little guy is stylin'!
ReplyDeleteRather!
DeleteIt was beautiful last night, wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteEspecially looking out from in :-))
Today ......I'm all bundled up and look like Connor.

I didn't go outside until early afternoon today!
DeleteIt was my first thought that he looked like a LV bag.
ReplyDeleteWould be cool if you could get the chandelier lit with all that snow on the tree.
The flakes were so big and the wind was blowing. Just wouldn't go.
DeleteI did walk my lab at 11:30 and it was great, not a soul around and inches deep snow. We both had a good time. Unfortunately he doesn't have a LV lookalike jacket and he could not do his business.
ReplyDeleteI would have walked him, but it was really howling, and i was lazy!
DeleteOh, how funny! You should really suggest that to Louis Vuitton -- I'll bet they'd sell a ton of LV dog coats!
ReplyDeleteYour snow is so beautiful. We miss that here in NC -- the temperature dropped last night and the water froze in the dog bowl outside, but even if it snowed I doubt it would stick.
Happy New Year, Meg!
When i got the coat for him - at the Junior League shop - I didn't realize what it would look like!
DeleteWhat a beautiful snow scene! The candelabra looks so enchanting in your Winter tree. Must say though that Connor in his spiffy coat, tops it all. My Labs also love to go out around midnight. When I am ready to turn in, they are ready for a late night romp!
ReplyDeleteConnor's the same way - I am ready to sleep, he's ready to walk!
DeleteYes to the LV look! My husband had to shovel out a path for our mini Schnauzer because s notometimes the drifts were taller than he was. As he got older if the path was cleared to his specs he'd go out briefly and come back inside and leave his displeasure on the carpet. He showed us!
ReplyDeleteWe had to clear paths when we had the blizzards a few years ago, but when he was desperate, he'd go!
DeleteLabs love the snow. Connor looks very cute in his coat.
ReplyDeleteThanks! He does love it!
DeleteThat's a lot of snow for Maryland!!
ReplyDeleteMary
Ha! No global warming here!
Deletelove that picture of Connor in his coat + brr. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
ReplyDeleteHe's quite dapper! xo

ReplyDeleteWho needs ivy on a tree to tell direction now? Hope the snow is is bearable. We're going to have what's billed at the Arctic chill with monday having a "feels like" -29. BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Right now I'm just so in love with a chandelier in a tree outside in the snow that I can't really think straight.
