Of course, everyone’s hopping on the Diamond Jubilee bandwagon with souvenirs galore, and some of them are quite wonderful, and others are terribly tacky!
Emma Bridgewater always has such fun crockery and I saw some of her pieces in Liberty of London earlier this spring, like this tea pot.
And then there’s this great cookie jar.
I liked this colourful china from Alison Gardiner.
And there are tea towels galore, from the charming,
There those who’ve chosen to re-brand their items, like Marmite, and Hunter.
And those who go for the elegant touch, like this silk pocket scarf from Drake’s in London.
Overall, these souvenirs seem to be a lot nicer than the ones for Will and Kate’s wedding last year. If you have a favourite souvenir, add the link in the comments.
Oh Meg! I want one souvenir, just one. Do you have links for shop sites? My family has coronation and jubilee souvenirs dating to Edward VII.
ReplyDeleteHarrods has quite a few www.harrods.com
DeleteThanks for showing these - I am SO nostalgic for England right now, and missing home very much. I have a little Union Jack which I will put on my gate tomorrow, and watch all on the BBC - thank goodness for satellite TV!
ReplyDeleteI made some union jack bunting and will light s torch at 10 our time.

DeleteI love singing in the reign, some people are really clever aren they? also wouldn't mind the scarf. As far as I can see we are lighting only one beacon in Australia.
ReplyDeleteReally? That big country and only one beacon?
DeleteI got that teapot. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteLove that teapot.
DeleteAdore that teapot! I for one will be lighting a beacon. Thanks, Meg.

DeleteLove the Gardner china, Love the "singing in the reign", Love the Hunter boots, LOVE the Celebration!! We're a bit shy on beacons here in California but I've candles at the ready.
ReplyDeleteI brought home one of the M&S jubilee shortbread tins...well two actually, I gave one to my mum. I looked but didn't see much in the way of tea towels etc...I guess it's not big in rural Scotland lol
ReplyDeleteHaha! Guess not!
