This is a good news/bad news/good news story. David, the owner of McLain Wiesand has gotten so busy with his custom furniture business that he’s having to move away from his original business of selling antiques. So he’s selling off his collection of great antique and vintage pieces so he’ll have space in the showroom for the custom furniture he makes.
massive pieces of statuary that David has cast in fiberglass,
a fabulous bedframe,
and did I mention that there are chairs?
Everything has a price on it, but I am assured that it’s all negotiable! And they will ship, if you pay them enough!
For information and prices on specific pieces, e-mail David here.
It is a great opportunity for some lucky shoppers.
ReplyDeleteI;ve got my eye on a few things!
DeleteI am so happy for him! He creates beautiful things. The antiques in his showroom are wonderful too. It's a shame people won't get to benefit from his ability to find such treasures anymore.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have you heard about the Baltimore Symphony Associates decorator show house?
Jill... there's just so much going on with the custom furniture side now, and it could open a lot of doors for David, so this has to go by the wayside!
DeleteAnd I've heard about the BSO house, but haven't been. The last time I went, it was pretty ghastly.
Congratulations to David on his success!! I wish I weren't so far--I need some mirrors and one of those busts--they are fantastic! Have a great week-end. Mary
ReplyDeleteMary... i think that david is represented by showrooms in SF and LA.
DeleteWe are in the Hinc Showroom in San Francisco and the Michael Smith Showroom in Los Angeles. Any antiques you are interested in can be shipped. We would be happy to get you a shipping quote.
