I saw the geese flying north. In the spring, this fills me with such joy and pleasure. In the fall, it is a melancholy sound. We went from 8°F on Tuesday to 78°F yesterday. And now the time has changed. Spring's coming!

Meg - I used to work near a lake and the geese would come in so low that you could hear the beat of their wings. It always gave me goose bumps. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI usually hate the sound of birds but the past few days I feel like spring is a little bit closer!
ReplyDeleteHere in Kansas City we now have geese year round now (well maybe some fly souh. The lake near me always has many surrounding it, walking across the street, blocking traffic. It is pretty neat especially in the springtime when the little goslings are waddling behind.
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't live near Baltimore - would love to hear that lecture on Billy Baldwin. My mother talked about him all the time.
