Present at Home!

After a long drive home from High Point, I arrived home to find a wonderful packet from England awaiting me. I had a small suspicion about what might be in it, but when I tore open the packet, I got tears in my eyes. My lovely friend Posey, with whom I spent a delightful evening in London last year, had made some wonderful pencil sketches of Connor for me. She’s a very talented artist, and a special friend. She’s completely captured Connor’s essence and spirit, and the way he curls into a little ball to sleep so soundly in his dotage. She got the light in his black eyes completely right, and the way his ears lie on the arm of the chair. I am so delighted with these pictures and will treasure both them, and my friendship with Posey, always. Thank you so very much! xo
