My dear yellow lab, Connor, got out this morning and he’s now been gone all day. I’ve been driving around the neighbourhood, on all of the little side streets and lanes, and calling his name. His best friend Halas even came up with his mom to help us look for Connor.
We’re expecting some storms to roll through later today, and he HATES storms. Please send good wishes and maybe a couple of prayers that he is found by some kind soul, or that he manages to find his way back home.If you have any information, please e-mail me directly, and if you’re in Baltimore, please share this with friends.
Thanks so much.
Oh Meg I am so sorry, I know Connor will be found or come home very soon. xoxo

Meg, I am praying that you find Connor safe and sound very soon! I am so sorry! XO
ReplyDeleteHave you reported this to the animal welfare league or whatever local group he could be taken to by a kind citizen?
ReplyDeleteMeg, I am so sorry. I know you love Conner and I so love reading of your escapades together. I will pray for his safety and return home. xo
ReplyDeleteOh I' so sorry! I know Conner will come back quickly. Please let me know if you need anything. I'll keep happy thoughts for his safe return home TODAY! I'll send a note to some of my girlfriends here in the area. Please keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteSo worried for you both. Hope you find him soon. Don't forget to call your old neighbors. Sometimes after a move they wonder back home.
ReplyDeleteWish I was there to help you look.
I have a heartache for you. I have a yellow lab that has gotten out a time or two, and has always been found with a great story to tell. I am wishing the same for you.
ReplyDeleteI know all to well the feeling of a dog on the roam. Hope he finds his way home or someone kind calls you soon.
ReplyDeletePoor Meg....Poor Connor! My thoughts are with both of you. Here are many wishes for a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteOh, no!! May you and Connor be quickly reunited, with no harm to either of you. What an escape artist!!! Wishing for the happiest news as fast as possible.
ReplyDeleteI'm too far away to help you search, but I am praying for Connor to come home safely.
ReplyDeleteHow scary. Fingers are crossed for a safe return.
ReplyDeleteO dear! Sending a message to Connor to Go HOME! Your Mama is waiting for you!! I hope he hears it and dashes back to where he's loved.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Connor! I'm too far away to help, but I'll he hoping for his safe return. You probably already have, but if not, call your police, animal officer and any large local vet offices- Hubby and I have a talent for finding lost dogs and we start at local vets to scan for chips, then bring the dog to the police or fire station, whichever we can find first!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck!
-Meg
This is terrible. He's out in the terrible weather and I am sure hating it. Would he know how to find his way to his new home? We can't wait to hear back from you that all is well.
ReplyDeleteSICK at heart. Heartbroken. SICK.
ReplyDeleteWill keep close watch here at Pigtown for your next information. Meanwhile, xxx's and ooo's.

Oh, Meg - I am so sorry! I will keep you both in my prayers for his safe return!
ReplyDeleteHope you've found him already! I can imagine how frantic you must be. I'm sure you'll be reunited soon.
ReplyDeleteOur lab Daisy took off when she was a year old. No address tag, only her license. She ended up at a travel agency three miles away: they called the city with her license number.
ReplyDeleteSomeone will find Connor. Sending good thoughts.
Hi there:
ReplyDeleteI posted his picture and the details from your post on Facebook on all my dog groups and causes. Someone has offered to help out; I'll keep you posted if I hear anything. Let us know if there is any update; I wish for you and Connor a happy reunion.

My mother in South Africa even e-mailed me... horrified at the news. This is what she wrote:
ReplyDelete"Oh no, no, no. I am devastated. Just praying he is found.
Please phone her to ask - tell her your mother from the other side
of the world is praying that he returns. Just love him to bits - he is
such a character. "
Thinking of you SO much! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thinking of you, and hoping for good news soon.
ReplyDeleteConnor is in my prayers. I know he is missing you as badly as you are missing him.

How terrible. We'll all be waiting to hear that you've found him again. When I lost a dog(a beagle) I put posters in peoples mailboxes and on telephone poles in a 2 mile radius, in addition to calling all possible authorities. Some local radio stations will also read lost dog warnings. Hope you find him soon.
ReplyDeleteHolding a very good thought for both Connor and you, Pigtown Design, and hoping you will soon be happily reunited,
ReplyDeleteFrancie
Have you put signs up in Wyman park? Now that you live so close, I'm sure you've walked connor there, or will soon when you are reunited (good thoughtS!!) A neighbor of mine from our Wyman Park Drive days used to supplement her retirement income walking dogs--her name is Maya and she's there once or twice a day at least--hard to miss as she always has at least five astonishingly well behaved dogs on leashes all around her. She always knows what's what. If you find her, tell her Kate and Denis from 311 say hello. Best wishes for Connor's safe return and congratulations on your home! I love Hoe's Heights! I used to walk to the Superfresh with my baby and my lab, and then we'd stop at the Turnover Shop for a quick browse and a dum-dum lollipop on the way home.
ReplyDeleteJust checking back to see if Connor is home. Praying for a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteTake care, elizabeth
Checking back too. Wish Michigan was closer, I would be on the streets with you. I only have good thoughts and am sending love & best wishes again.
ReplyDeleteWould he try to go back to your old house?

ReplyDeleteLots of helpful information here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Lost-Dog
When my cat Mr Snugglemuffins was lost the best tip I got was from a guy who lives above the barbershop on Wash. Blvd. who saw one of the many flyers I posted.
Don't forget to check shelters at least every 3 days. You have to go and look physically every 3 days. They are too busy to keep up with phone requests especially at this time of year.
I hope some of the information at the above site will help with your plan to find dear Conner. I know he is looking for you too. I hope you are reunited soon.
Let me know if I can help.
Sending many many prayers for Connor's safe way home. Sending love, Mary
