One of the things I love about the spring time is the Saturday morning ritual of zipping from one yard sale to another in search of that undiscovered treasure.
If you’ve been reading Pigtown*Design for any length of time, then you know that I have really gotten some great pieces at yard sales. One of my best scores was the steel barrister’s book-case, now home to my collection of sweaters. With a sad heart, I learned that my friend, Flippa, is moving back to South Africa as soon as the school term finishes. But our loss of Flip will also be our gain, as she’s having a yard sale on Saturday.
Flip has the most amazing eye for wonderful pieces, and she can only fit a somewhat limited number of her belongings in the container. As Flip said to me, she’s got “just masses of smalls, tools, etc.”, but knowing Flip, they will be glamorous smalls and tools!
If you’re interested in attending Flip’s sale on Saturday, please e-mail me, as she doesn’t want her address spread across the world!
Wow Meg, wish I could make it! Wish we had them in the UK. We just have the boot sales which I guess is quite similar. Have fun. Is that your chair?

OMG, Flippa of the beautiful house? And the HRH side chair? I would kill for that chair! I am in Colorado now so I can't come. If you would ever buy that chair for me I would drive all the way from Connecticut to Bal'more to pick it up. How is the doggie, not too many stories about him lately. Ann
