Raining Cats & Dogs

We’re getting the remainder of Hurricane Ida, as well as some of a nor’easter, so it’s been raining for a few days now. Yesterday, I showed you some brilliant wellies, and today, here’s a great umbrella. It’s such fun with it’s severe black top, and playful with images of cats and dogs below. It’s from Ted Baker in London.Ted-Baker-umbrella

For a great waterproof rain coat, check out my friend, Easy & Elegant Life’s waxed cotton drover’s coat from Australia. I’ve got the English equivalent, which is for fox hunting. E&EHow cute is this man?

Tomorrow, I am headed to Philadelphia with the Historic House Group, lead by the amazing JCB and with Architect Design. Should be fun, regardless of the weather.

  1. The Brits really do make the most wonderful umbrellas, don't they? And Wellies, of course. Have always wanted to try a waxed coat.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  2. Yes, soaking wet here too-since Weds! Only Burberry to keep me dry-the hard core stuff.Have a great day with the group-hope you will get some sunshine. GT

  3. I feel like the British when it come to the sun.I hope that the sun comes out tomorrow.I am getting tired of all this rain.I think that the umbrella looks good.

  4. That is an amazing room. There are several Churches for sale here.
I love the paisley rain boots too.
NYC is wonderful it never sleeps.
I Gather you had a nice visit.
    P. Harriman was a real party goer.
    A fashion icon.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Thank you P-D! What a nice thing to read first thing on a sunny! Monday. I also like the umbrella that opens to reveal a Magritte-like blue sky and fluffy clouds. Museum shops used to carry them. And this issue of "The Rake" features a beautiful yellow umbrella with a chestnut handle by Rubinacci.
