I got an e-mail this morning from Liberty in London, and they've entered into a partnership with Hermès. Scarves are one of Hermès' signature items and Liberty's Tana Lawn cotton prints are one of theirs, so they've combined to make Hermès Pour Liberty.
What do you think?
A beautiful marriage of two classics! It will be interesting to see what they come out with.
ReplyDeleteI'm always curious about what direction Hermes takes. Exciting. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt must be about money. Liberty is a really old name and Hermes, well they are about merchandising. I wonder what the real motivation is. Do you have any reflection on this? Ann
ReplyDeleteStyle Chron... Click the Hermes Pour Liberty link and you can see some of the products they're offering.
ReplyDeleteLinenQueen... I think that Liberty's trying to re-energize some of their classic lines. I saw an ad from them for classic Barbour jackets by a Japanese designer.
ReplyDeleteI love Liberty and Hermes- I bet these will be wildly popular, of course something for everyone- but the one you have here-called Eloise in the oranges and another- Poppy are by far the best colorways, some are not so. la
ReplyDeleteI like the ties! Very luke warm on the scarves. Actually, blech on the scarves.
ReplyDeletelove the new header; not sure if i love the scarves
ReplyDeleteI've always liked the Liberty fabric, but I'm not a scarf person.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about the scarves but your new header is great. What a wonderful view.
ReplyDeletescarves: no dice. I always have the clssic pink bits and bridles tied around my handbag for just in case... this just would not be the same...
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I think I need to see it all in person. But, it sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteOn the once and only time I was ever in Paris I wanted to bring home a Hermes scarf. I looked and looked and looked. I never found a one that I was willing to buy for the price. I thought for sure there would be one that was so me. I even looked at the sale table.
