Please Don’t Chop the Pillows!

I was recently looking at some images from a design house and noticed that every single pillow in the room was karate chopped to within an inch of its life! chopchopchop All you could see were pointy little ends sticking straight up – just like a flock herd of rabbits! Bunny ears It looked so funny and totally ridiculous.hai karate! Of course, if you feel the need to chop your pillows, please follow this tutorial on e-how, where do i sleepand make sure you do it the right way.

  4. Oh my - too much of a good thing! Don't you just want to fall on to one of those chairs and squush the pillows! Is "squush" a word?

  5. Chopped pillows have become today's cliche, much like pillows propped placed all in a row out of an argyle sweater were to yesterday's decorating mags and hotel lobbies.

  6. I hear you....things end up being so over done that spaces lose their spontaneity.

  7. I thought this was an Americanism as we don't do it here in aus. Thankfully. Soooo contrived and the opposite therefore of what most of us are aiming for in our homes? I think?

  14. So funny...I kind of push my pillows in and around. But I've had decorators come in and chop the pillows and think that they are doing me a favor...........

  18. You have done a public service. Thank the Lord!!

One of my total pet peeves..........My daughter feels sorry for me.

She says: "Mom; it must be so hard to be you! Most people don't even see these things!"

A blessing and a curse to be completely visual.

  19. I am not a fan karate chopped pillows. They are currently a trademark of decorator William R Eubanks, famous for his contributions to Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley.
