Maryland Antiques Show

I went out to visit the Maryland Antiques Show this morning and thought I’d share some things I liked. The Show runs Saturday and Sunday in Towson, Maryland, just north of Baltimore.

The Spare Room AntiquesVIctor Weinblatt from Hadley, Mass.

Some of the local decorators did rooms for the show.

Patrick Sutton

Laurie FitzGerald at Stony Run Antiques

Jay Jenkins of Jenkins Baer

These were my two favourite pieces.

A miniature dog’s head whistle in ivory. Wonder why!

Gorgeous ivory-handled cutlery.

  2. I too love the dog whistle. Perhaps it was a whistle to call one's dog when out hunting fowl. Either way, it is a charming piece.

Thanks for posting on this show. Not too many of them left in my area of the country, unfortunately, but I do try to get to those that remain each year.

  3. That cutlery is beautiful. I am a sucker for old signs, too. What are those porcelain/china things on the wall? Someone comments above - clock face?? I know my grandma had a lovely clock (I always thought it was a china plate) of this type - I never realized there would be so many holes though. Thanks!

  4. LOVE the old sign "Open for Inspection" -- gorgeous -- maybe hung in a wonderful white kitchen with black counters? Such wonderful displays -- so creative! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Recent newspaper and radio reports the subject of which are the popular quizes found on the internet/ Is one surprised to learn marketing companies are data mining and developing profiles of user responses. valuable info participants have been lured into providing under the guise of entertainment "fluff." another duplicitious act on the internet more phishing I suppose
