Much Better Design Quiz!

The last quiz was pretty ghastly, wasn’t it? I didn’t know what half of the choices were and I’d certainly NEVER get a tattoo! So I looked long and hard (on the internet) for a better quiz for all of us to take.

This result is MUCH better!imageimage

I’ve always lived close to the water and have sailed for much of my life. I love rooms that are filled with light. This result is much better… I even have white slipper chairs like the ones in the room shown.

Try this quiz HERE.

  1. Hmmm... This time I got "Hollywood Couture," which is probably pretty spot-on, at least when I'm decorating for clients. Glad you're Nantucket now instead of Pottery Barn. ;-)

    1. It was rather horrifying getting Pottery Barn. At least I didn't get "dorm room"!

  2. Nantucket Style. YES! This is what I love. Much better quiz!

  3. I did not like this one at all - first, there was not a single interior about which I could say "Love it" - most were "just OK" or "don't like it" and it was IMPOSSIBLE for me not to think about the color in each interior.
My answer was traditional Asian, which I find completely wrong.

  5. I was certain that I'd come out Nantucket style, based on the room you display above, but instead, 'Zen Style'---"Zen Style has a nice mix of rustic with chic so that there is an incredible level of ease and sophistication about the space"

    Um, okay....

    1. I think that picture was just a place-holder, not necessarily the Nantucket room.

  6. Much better quiz....40% Traditional Asian....40% Traditional Country. The explanations worked better for me than the titles themselves; contrast, texture, blend of antique and modern, comfort, balance, placement, warm colors. I'd agree with their assessment! Thanks, Meg Angela Muller

  7. 40 French Eclectic, 40 Traditional Asian, 20 Traditional. Sort of me but then I didn't read the directions till after I finished. Enjoyed this quiz more than last one!

  9. Modern elegance - I think thats about right.
Variety is the spice of life! And nowhere is this truer than in the design of your home... You either love contemporary but wish it wasn't quite so cold and austere; or perhaps you've always been drawn to more traditional rooms but are now at a point in your life where you'd like to pair down a bit or want to create a less cluttered and busy space. Transitional Style is here to marry those apparent contradicting designs. And guess what — it's the contradictions that make the mix of contemporary and traditional so successful. The result is an elegant room that appeals to young and old alike. A sofa with modern lines blends seamlessly with a pair of traditional chairs. New fabrics work so well on antique pieces. It turns out that modern art looks even more exciting above a collection of traditional pieces. The room feels simple and sophisticated, elegant and hip.

  12. Hello, I had to take the test twice as the system could not identify my style the first time round. It managed to pigeonhole me into "Classic", which I'm relieved about!

  13. Seems pretty accurate. I got both Vintage Modern and Hollywood Couture. I love them both!

  14. I got 33% Rustic Revival, 33% Nantucket Style, 34% French Eclectic. The description of my style described what my home looks like perfectly. Pretty cool!

  15. I got French Eceletic. I'm okay with that!
