Year of the Rabbit

Happy New Year! It’s the year of the rabbit in the Chinese calendar. Most of the time, I love rabbits, but they are garden pests as evidenced in the wonderful Beatrix Potter books. Somehow, I don’t think that fuzzy little Peter is who the Chinese were thinking of… peterrabbitPeople born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. A rabbit year is quiet, giving respite after the year of the tiger!

We can only hope!

  3. LOVE THE YEAR OF THE RABBIT! I have a small collection of antique wooden rabbit molds. They were used to make paper maiche (sp?) Easter decor! And of course I started collecting them since I'm a HUGE fan of Harvey's (and Jimmy Stewart!).

(Love the earrings from a previous post as well - I pick the long sparkly ones!)

  5. It is the year of the metal rabbit so be on the lookout for bunny chocolate molds!

And rabbits mend fences as opposed to tigers who tear them down. Here's to a year of diplomacy.
