I love the stamps issued by the UK’s Royal Mail. They are so much more fun than the ghastly ones issued by the US Post Office. There’s a new series of stamps just issued commemorating 150 years of the Battersea Dogs Home in London.
Which do you like the most?
Bulldog, but then again, I want a real one so there may be some transference going on.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that they posed the dogs with their portraits. Makes them (and their cause) seem that much more real and appealing. I like the scruffy blonde terrier. Reminds me of my very first dog.
ReplyDeleteThe US post office just doesn't get it. I love stamps from other countries.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is my favorite. Great portraits.
ReplyDeleteaww, the one looks like Pinkys' brother Dawson. another Jack Russell terror.
ReplyDeleteLove them all...
ReplyDeleteOh, they're great. I think the one of the dog in "play with me" mode is my favorite.

#4, he's so adorable in an unassuming way. I wish he was mine.
ReplyDeleteOh my too cute. Number 3 has to be my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love them all!!! Our US P.O. needs to see these....we are so dull!
ReplyDeletenumber two- happy and playful!
ReplyDeleteOMG! They're all too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't choose - they're all so wonderful. I buy large quantities of stamps when I fall for an appealing design. I am not adept enough with the computer to create my own. As an artist, I wonder if you have ever created your own stamps? I have a friend who photographs her sculptures for her portfolio and creates USPS approved stamps -- I can never toss her envelopes in the trash!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are too adorable! Since I own a Border Collie, I'm partial to the BC stamp, but they are all so cute!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
First I have seen of these - my kids are going to go crazy! They are terrific! (stamps AND my kids :)
ReplyDeleteMarija
Well of course the Jack... Barrymore needs his own stamp.
ReplyDeleteNow why can't the USPS do something like that?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for your kind words today.
