Think Pink 2009

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so a group of bloggers, lead by the incredible Mrs. Blandings, have banded together to raise awareness of the issue. If you click here, you will be able to help a low-income woman get a breast cancer screening.

Now on to the fun stuff! I love pink and when I look through the pictures on my computer, I see a lot of pink popping up. Here are some pictures I found on my hard-drive.

    I love all of the pink! And peonies are my favorite as well, with dahlias a close close second.

    I love PINK too...I will doing a 66 mile bicycle ride Oct 17 (my birthday) for breast cancer, sponsored by the Young Survivors here in Atlanta.

    Peonies are my favorite too. They were my great grandmothers as well and though she died when I was quite young, I always think of her and smile when I see a bunch of beautiful peonies. Great cause to support!

    What better flower for Breast Cancer Awareness than bosomy peonies? I'd just add that women can and should make contributions to the cause as well.

    Anne HH! Thanks so much for letting me know what it is. I've been fascinated with it for a year now. It's really an incredible looking plant, isn't it?

    And I love love love the peonies which were from the Farmers' Market in the early summer.
