KraftMaid (!) has a style quiz that tells you your style, by showing you a range of images, and choosing the ones you like the best. I am a Luxe Transitional.
“Part contemporary, part progressive, Luxe Transitional pushes design to an entirely new level in a way that expresses individual personality and passion” Some of the things that you had to choose from weren’t exactly to my taste – would I rather have dinner with David Beckham, who’s gorgeous, but dumb as a box of rocks, or Bobby Flay, who irritates the hell out of me, and there was no option for “neither one, thanks”.
Regardless, you can take the quiz here. And then please report back with your results. Ok?
I wasn't crazy about those questions. There were too many where I wanted to choose "none of the above." My result was "Light and Timeless" which sounds apt, but I don't really like neutral backdrops.
ReplyDeleteI was "Luxe Transitional" too - I can't tell you how many questions I just wanted to answer as "None of the above". I love that green door!
ReplyDeleteClassically Traditional. And I didn't want to invite any of those people.
ReplyDelete"dumb as a box of rocks"! I love it! Thanks for my new favorite phrase.
ReplyDeleteClassically traditional, which I suppose, although I wasn't too happy with a great many of the choices.
ReplyDeleteMy results: natural and warm. I didn't like the dinner guest questions either!
ReplyDeleteNot to get off the topic Meg, but I had to chuckle about your Bobby Flay sentiment! I also feel the same and had a conversation about it just over the weekend. Shoo, now I'll get to the quiz!
ReplyDeleteI'm "classically traditional" - no surprise there! fun!
ReplyDeleteLight & Timeless that's me! Next! xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
ReplyDeleteMine was 'Light & Timeless'. But frankly, most of the choices were kinda nasty.
ReplyDeleteBest 'taste test' I've ever come across? A marvelous little period piece from the forties, titled "How Good Is Your Taste". Great fun, with entertaining choices and results. Run to ABEBooks and find a copy. You won't be sorry.
I was light and timeless as well, but I thought I would come up as "classical"or "traditional." There really wasn't one choice that was my taste at all. I had to pick things that would "do." I feel it didn't capture my tastes at all. The chairs? Not one of them. The lamps and kitchens and mantels? Ditto. Now have us do this test with those earlier Williamsburg shots you showed us.
ReplyDeleteI got classically traditional! Who knew? Mind you like you mentioned some things were hard to choose as I didn't like any of them at times and it was a push to press the button. But I suppose I get older I am turning this way - you should help them devise a proper one!
ReplyDeleteLuxe traditional here... too bad I don't have the pocketbook for it- as in, same as Champagne taste!
ReplyDeleteClassically Traditional---don't think that is really me. Hated the choices. I simply took the lesser of several non-winners.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun.
Mary
Light and Timeless -- who'da thunk it for dear old Reggie? Didn't come out as Classically Traditional, which I would have expected -- shows that the old boy has some life in him, still!
ReplyDeleteI was "light and timeless" but I wouldn't have chosen any of the selections. I chose the "lesser of evils."
