These past few days have been lost ones. No horse races, no big dinner party, no Easter festivities. I've been down flat with a 102 fever and a blazing sore throat. Hope to be back blogging soon.
Ohh Meg, I am so sorry...if I still iived in DC I would bring you some chicken soup, fluff your pillows and make you comfy. Get well soon. Blessings... Renae
sweetie, get well soon, k? lots of rest and lots of fluids, and don't go back to work too soon- that always just makes things worse.

ps- i wish i could be theer to walk connor for you. nothing worse than having chills and a fever, and being outside in rain and cold, waiting for number 2.
I've had some lingering bug, ever since my manicurist uttered the fatal words, "I just got over the flu." I had my flu shot in the fall. Frankly, I don't know WHAT this thing is. A ton of lethargy. No fever on my end. Sometimes a stuffed nose (like now.) Sometimes a sore throat (like now.) Sometimes tummy upsets, but just a ton of dragging around, get back in bed, fighting through viral "mud," and frustrated I'm not doing more..and I'm into week three of it. I have a friend in Annapolis who also reports having it, and it's draining. You want to get things done...and force it...then go back to bed praying it goes away.
Hi Meg Hope you are feeling better - I wanted to drop you a note to tell you that the Stoneleigh Yard Sale is this weekend, ad the 'nabe right to the north, Wiltondale, is also having a neighborhood yard sale as well that day.
Meg, This weird concoction - organic chicken broth with lemon juice and a dash of cayenne pepper - makes me feel good when I'm ill. And, it's not hard to make.

Take care brave soul. Strep is everywhere. Who knew? You may need to make "stalking" assignments until the beast subsides.
