I was so pleased to get an e-mail the other day asking what my real name is, so I could be included in a list of favourite blogs. Before I agreed, I went to check out the site and was very impressed. The blogger is Jan Showers, a designer, decorator and antiques dealer from Dallas, Texas.
As I scrolled through her site, picture after picture just delighted me. I adored everything I saw, and I was supremely flattered that she thought enough of Pigtown*Design to include it on her list.
So, when she published the post, I was doubly gob-smacked to see who else was on the list of Jan's favourites: The Sartorialist, Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP, Michael Devine's The Devine Life and Rebecca Sherman's Houses, Gardens & People. Thank you so much, Jan. I am honoured to be included! Click the picture below to visit Jan's blog.
I don't know why you are surprised - I am not. Not in the least. This is one of my favorite stops.
ReplyDeleteJan Showers - she is one of the all time greats! The spread from Western Interiors (the living room is in this post) is one of my favorite houses ever featured in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Meg, you deserve the recognition and are most certainly in good company!
ReplyDeleteThats just great, Meg! yah!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these pieces -so beautiful -i'm going over to check out her site!
Lovely news Meg, xv.
ReplyDeleteWell, of course she would want you on her favorite list!! I watched Jan's career for years when we lived in Dallas. She was the first designer I noticed doing mid-century design, years and years ago before it became main-stream. She has always been an inspiration. Thanks for the link to her blog Meg!

ReplyDeleteHi -- thank you for including my blog on your post! I love your blog. I was excited when Jan listed you, because you've always been a favorite, and love the name, too.
ReplyDeleteWell deserved, friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally love the silvery goodness in that first room.
