Missed Another Tag Sale

I was reading the Washington Post this morning and saw that I'd missed the totally under-the-radar tag sale hosted by DC decorator, Mary Douglas Drysdale. Apparently, she didn't even advertise it until seven hours before it started, and then advertised it on Craigs List. With the prices that Annie Groer at the Post mentioned - used Hermes ties at $75 each, a 1890's carved wooden horse for $50k - it's not exactly for the Craigs List crowd. Anyway, since the turnout was so low, it will be continuing on Monday, July 2, in Washington, DC. Let me know if you go!

  1. I love Mary Douglas Drysdale, what a great sale that must have been (if you can afford it)!

  2. Fairfax, you should go just to cover it, if your schedule allows. Would love to hear your take.

  3. Yes, if you go please give us the skinny! First Carolyne Roehm, now this! I'm ready for a stellar tag sale in Atlanta :)

  4. Yes, I read that same article too. Drysdale doesn't really seem to understand retailing. No prices on the actual tags, constantly shifting prices, etc.

  5. I saw this also in the WP. Did not seem as appealing as Ms. Roehm's sale, IMO. So true, little red... why even bother with tags! Visit my blog to read a synopsis by a visitor to Ms. Roehm's sale this past weekend. It seems it was absolutely delightful!
