McLain Wiesand SALE

I got an e-mail from David at McLain Wiesand the other day, telling me that he's having a sale on August 15 & 16. I wrote about David's beautiful store a few months ago, and as I said then, every time I drive by the store, I see something wonderful in the window.
David says that the store will be open from 10 to 5 on both days and that they will be selling samples, floor models, all stuff in the showroom, and antiques, parts, hardware and things he's been squirreling away.
I know where I will be on Friday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m. - coffee cup in hand!
Hope to see you there!

  1. Looks like a great turquoise lamp in the window. BTW: the swimming event you described below, I think I saw that on ACE of Cakes -- or something similar in your area?

  11. I bought this mug at Filene's Basement. Sold individually in a charming round lidded box with the chair design imprinted on the glossy white paper, sort of hat-box-like. (Box was a keeper.)There were also dessert plates, sold in boxes of 4, I believe. Bought this about 4 - 5 months ago, don't know if they are still available, but perhaps a call to your local Filene's might yield a mug or two.
