Love her!
ReplyDeleteI spoke with my relatives in Scotland today, and we had to abruptly end the conversation at 3 pm because of the Queen's Christmas Speech. I meant to look it up on You Tube, but you have saved me the trouble! Thanks, and hope you are having a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWatching these over the years very often brings a tear to my eye, and this year, with its references to family and those who have passed on, was no exception.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful tradition indeed, especially for those Brits amongst us, but it is a universal message.
A nice reminder to do our best in what ever role we choose or are born into - contributing to society.
ReplyDeleteComfort & Joy to each of you.
I don't really like the idea of a monarchy but I just can't help liking Queen Elizabeth. She's the perfect figurehead for a country -- a person of such substance, and endearing at the same time.
ReplyDelete(And sidebar here: someone needs to do some serious brush hogging on poor Prince Philip's eye brows. They're like hedgerows!)
Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing this.....I loved it!
ReplyDeleteLong live the Queen! KDM
ReplyDeleteA very poignant speech this year from HM. The Monarch's annual speech is a wonderful tradition.
