I really am fond of castles, and this is another one I’ve found. It’s on the Isle of Mull in Scotland, where there are an abundance of castles on the market. It’s kind of out of my price range at £2.8m or about $4.5 million.
Yes, it's designed by the first woman architect to be registered in Maryland - Katherine Cutler Ficken - who is featured in an exhibit that the Baltimore Foundation is sponsoring this March! Meg heads up BAF so this is a double tie in :)
So often the initial cost is nothing compared with the reeling amount of cash necessary for heritage buildings. Often more than the cost of the building.
But I love the turrets and the terraces. Sooo picturesque.
If I had it....I would definitely consider spending it here. So beautiful!
