Seriously, it’s October 27th and the temperature at 10:02 p.m. is 70*! The humidity is about 80% and it feels like early September. Now, I am not really complaining, since my utility bill was in the double digits last month, but what do you wear in late October when it’s so warm? Do you dress for the date or the temperature? I am so confused.
I am so over this weather! No more indian summer!!! I want 'sweatah weathah'!
ReplyDeleteJust when I want to curl up in front of the fire - I have to open all the windows and turn the fans back on!
ReplyDeleteOh it is sweater weather here in Kansas City for sure!!

hm, it's unusualy early cooler weather in Hong Kong.
ReplyDeleteDress for the temperature = comfort.
That's funny. I dressed for the season early yesterday morning for the first dog walk. Arrived back at the house feeling way too warm. Changed into shorts and a t-shirt for the rest of the day. Yes, it's confusing weather.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing yesterday. I had on a sleeveless top and can't believe it's almost Nov!
ReplyDeleteBut let us not forget the beginning of the year in Balmer...this still is better than 40+ inches of snow!
ReplyDeleteI'm just 35 mins south of you and was thinking about this yesterday. I pulled out an old leopard baby doll style dress with short sleeves. The colors are fall, but the cut is summer. It worked perfectly yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIt was tooo hot! Mother Earth, turn your heater down please.
ReplyDeleteIt's been the same thing here in Southern Ontariariario. Frankly, I love it. It can stay this way until March when summer could start if it wanted to. On Tuesday I was out prowling around the cemetery looking for stones for a lady from Dallas (close to that twister) wearing my sandals. Gotta love it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteas it's being said all over the blogosphere, "Dress for the weather with a nod to the season."
ReplyDeleteAlways, always wear what makes you comfortable. Life's too short to worry about what other people think.
ReplyDeleteIf other people go about in sweaters when it's 70 degrees out just because of the calendar date, who's the dork, really?
I completely agree with Marcheline!
ReplyDeleteI live in Texas, so I'm used to dressing for the weather, but with a nod to the season (I do get upset when the college girls are running around in short shorts and eyelet blouses when it's October, for some reason). So I'm wearing my "fall colors" in lightweight fabrics.
This weather coupled with the fact that I had a baby 6 days ago = wardrobe crisis. Seriously...I want it to be sweater and jeans weather already!
ReplyDeleteActually turned the AC back on last night! It's time for those cooler temps and sweaters. Meg - one of these trips to Baltimore will have to try to catch up with you at the farmer's market! Posted today about some ravens Baltimore style. Cathy
ReplyDeleteRan the AC all week until today. Believe it or not, I still have a hibiscus in bloom on my patio--in Hot 'Lanta no less.
