ReplyDeleteI love her posts so much! The historical information, the art, the handwriting... why aren't textbooks written like this? Wouldn't our history classes have been so much more fun? And, speaking for myself, I'd probably have retained a lot more!

ReplyDeleteLast Thanksgiving, my brother and sister and I had a conversation about which founding father was our favorite. We each, independently, decided that even though Jefferson was the logical choice (the food, the wine, the sharing of alma maters), Franklin was our favorite. And it was because of the inventions.
I wish I had the kind of imagination and vision of our fore fathers!

ReplyDeleteEvery one of these has been memorable. As Mrs. B says, I, too, hope there is a book. I want to be able to turn to them any time I want. This one prompted me to go get a book on Franklin.
