Recently, in the past few days, I've been getting e-mails from Brocade again. It seemed like they'd closed up virtual shop in the summer, and had left a lot of people who had ordered from them, with no answers. Now, they've got a temporary Christmas shop in Soho, NYC, open until Christmas Eve.
I've been getting them too. I think they are back.
ReplyDeleteI haven't clicked through to the blog in a while - as always I love the seasonal header!
They are back. But yes, they left a lot of folks high and dry this summer - including me for a while. I did a post on my blog about them and on came a rash of commenters who had been receiving mis-ships, partial shipments and lots of run arounds with no customer service. Their PR people sent me an email recently about their new pop-up store in NYC and I asked about all those problems. I asked for a statement of how they were dealing with all the mess they left and that I'd be willing to post it. But, otherwise, I'd not consider promoting them - which is too bad as I love their products. The response was just that they were doing their best, but they were at the mercy of their former owners, Restoration Hardware, regarding the problems. Well, they have a lot of work to do! Meanwhile, they are running big sales and emails coming daily, so I don't know how much longer they will be around.
ReplyDeleteLinda... I had heard all of the issues that they'd had this summer, and so was very surprised to all of a sudden be getting e-mails from them. I wonder if they're just trying to sell their excess inventory.
ReplyDeleteRestoration Hardware has been having massive warehouse sales at their location just outside of Baltimore, even though it was supposed to go private in November. Hmmmm....
Wow, it seemed like they were really onto something good, especially with someone like Restoration behind them. I can't imagine how you come back from leaving your customers hanging like that! I know mine would never stand for it! Still, they had a good look so hopefully they'll get it together and redeem themselves.
