I stopped by my friend David Wiesand’s shop, McLain Wiesand this afternoon to get a preview of what’s on offer on Friday and Saturday at his warehouse sale. There were a lot of goodies that I saw, including some great pillows, this marvelous little faux tortoise-shell box, architectural elements, wrought iron bits and pieces and lots more.
The funniest thing about my visit was watching Pinky, David’s little Jack Russell mix, waiting for his arch enemy who walks by at about 5:30 each afternoon. They run up and down the window and mirror each other, teeth bared and snarling the whole time.
I will be heading over there at 9:00 on Friday morning, along with Michelle from My Notting Hill and her friend Anne. For specific information, e-mail Rose at McLain-Wiesand.
I love that daybed and all those fabulous pillows. Have fun!
ReplyDeletelove how you did the shots of the dogs in action -
ReplyDeletesomeday i may ask you for a tutorial
This is so adorable-a sucka for dogs and daybeds. The JR mix looks a bit like my Zetta-her JR just happens to be mixed with a bit of the pitbull(the cute part) GT
ReplyDeleteThe two dogs are hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI love the pillows Meg...I am having a bit of a crush on velvet at the moment so it is probably a good thing that I can't go. Have a great time and happy shopping...xv
ReplyDeleteThough I can't stuff another thing into my house, I'll be there. I'm dying to see this sale. Maybe I'll finally get to meet you . . . !
ReplyDeleteI'll take the little faux box, please. The dogs are the best. They look like mirror images of each other. Hope your recovery is going well. Nothing like a hitch in the getalong to put a downer on a day hard core shopping. Hugs to Houdini.
ReplyDeleteHBD... Isn't that box terrific?
ReplyDeleteThe dogs were hilarious. I wish I had taken a video of them. Apparently, when they met, there was some blood involved.
I am feeling much better, thanks! Every injury I've had in the last two years has been c/o Connor.
Love the dog stuff. My English Setter and the neighbors Lab do the same thing through the fence, but I doubt they would really fight if the fence were not there. But my borzoi, who lanquidly watches the charade, is the deadly one.
ReplyDeletecan you buy me that AWESOME AWESOME box?????
ReplyDeleteKitty... if you look in the top picture, there's a beautiful shagreen one just to the left of the tortoise box.
ReplyDeleteM-W will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday during the Book Festival.
I'm so excited! The pics of those 2 dogs are priceless. The look on his face (in the first pic) as he waits for his nemesis is too funny! (although I'm sure he finds nothing humurous about the situation)
ReplyDeleteThe dogs are FAB- but the faux box is ever more FAB!
ReplyDeleteI need to visit this warehouse!
ReplyDeleteThe dogs are adorable.
