There's just such a happy buzz in the air... even 40 miles north of Washington, DC. A new day, a new era, a new President. Just counting down the minutes now.
I loved the Inauguration. It is the first one that I've ever watched all the way through. For once, that address actually meant something; usually it just sounds like empty rhetoric to me.
And yes, I agree about Michelle's dress. She looked regal and beautiful and strong.
I'm the LAST to get teary-eyed, but I did during Obama's speech. There is hope. And I felt a whole hell of a lot better when I saw Geo. Bush fly away in that helicopter...
Isn't that a fabulous color on Mrs. Obama?
ReplyDeleteSuch an exciting day!
Nice colour indeed—is it lace or sequinned?
ReplyDeleteYay! It is going to be an amazing day for our nation.
ReplyDeleteand, yes, Michelle looks beautiful.

The dress was designed by Isabel Toledo and made with a Swiss wool lace, I believe. Stunning!

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting day it has been. I actually felt sorry for President Bush. Talk about left field.
