OKL Madness: More Racquets

Oh, dear. I guess OKL didn’t learn their lesson with the expensive tennis racquets that I wrote about months ago. Now they’ve got two badminton “rackets” for sale for $112 for the pair. That’s more than a 50% savings off of the original $245 price tag. imageThe funniest thing is that the racquet presses for these two badminton racquets are really for tennis  racquets. The are not guards, as it says in the description, they’re presses, so the wood doesn’t warp. These presses are way too large for the significantly smaller badminton racquets.

  3. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at the waste. Sold out? I guess the rest of us will have to look in attics, thrift stores and yard sales for mismatched, old badminton rackets in tennis presses. ~ Maureen

    1. I have a friend who used to say that you can't wear the shoes if you don't do the sport, so I think that you can't have the equipment on your walls if you've never played. And really, how many people play badminton? We used to because my mother was a killer player and they had a court at her house when she was growing up.

    2. I'd make an exception to that rule to wear very cool table tennis shoes. If they made water polo shoes, I'd wear those too. Love eccentric casual footwear. :o)

  7. I thought just this morning that I needed to unsubscribe from their emails but then I'd miss those entertaining sales! The prices are, of course, ridiculous but it's fun to see things I used to have.
