A Little More Ladew

As I mentioned, I went to Ladew Gardens on Friday evening and then again Saturday. There was so much to see each time, and I wanted to share a little more of this fabulous property with you.

My new header was taken at Ladew. They had a vendor, Maryland Aquatic Gardens, who specializes in water gardens and plants. I just loved the colour of this water lily… just like a gorgeous sunrise. It was not unlike this dahlia.

I never remember the name of this plant, but it is so interesting.

Is it a chenille plant?

Jan Kirsch Studios had the most interesting giant fruit and vegetable sculptures.I love the way the asparagus spears pick up the colours in the woman’s dress.

I think this is the best idea in the world… a mobile bar cart!

Here’s my hilarious friend, Eric, carrying a fox sculpture up the garden path. He had the best shorts on… they were blue and white seersucker with tiny ants embroidered on them… ants on his pants.

I loved these giant botanical prints.

I adore Guy Wolff pots, and am so peeved that the movers broke the one I used to have, last year.

Halcyon House Antiques had the most beautiful toleware flowers ranging from tiny,

to big.

Thanks to everyone at Ladew Gardens, both staff and volunteers, who worked so hard to make the event such a huge success. And thanks for including me at the events!

    1. Jane... they always have plants and flowers that I've never seen before... and I think that's part of their strategy for the event.
