Liberty Print Wellies

Ages ago, I wrote about the fun Tamara Henriques Wellington boots, and now that we’re being hit with the remnants of Hurricane Ida, good wellie boots are in order.  tamara henriques Luckily, I got an e-mail from Liberty saying that they’re now selling wellies with two of their distinctive prints on them.

You can get them in either the Bourton style Bourton Wellie or the classic Caesar print. Caesar Wellie Which do you like best?

  2. The first for my daughters and the last for meeeee!
I was just speaking to my daughter about the choices of rain boots available, too many really.
But I like choosing between the two you provided!

  3. Tough choice... probably the first. So maybe I'm not so muchof a peacock?

I've been salivating over the Le Chameau Chasseur, but will have to do with a pair of Hunter's eventually. LL Bean does a good basic, inexpensive...errr.. to boot.

  4. OMG, I am dazzled! Can't decide -- both too beautiful, and different things to recommend each.

I actually just bought a pair of plain boring Hunter boots with the removable fleece sock inserts. I needed something that would go with everything, without having to worry about coordinating my outfit, coat, purse, etc. every time it rained. Plus something that would take my orthotics. I wore them yesterday to DC and back in the pouring rain and enjoyed stomping through puddles with abandon.

If I do decide to splurge on a pair of pretty rainboots instead of just utilitarian ones, I'll definitely give Liberty a go.

  5. I love them both! Bourton is probably more practical and 'normal' while the Caesar one is EXTRAORDINARY (and a bit of what a drag queen would wear....)
    I vote for #2!! haha

  6. I like mine a bit plainer -- but these are truly great. Of the two, I would go with the second pair, but what I really want is a pair in eggplant!

  7. Oh my. I love the Caesar's peacock plumes. I have some printed rubber boots I wear to garden, but maybe this is the year I break down and buy a pair to wear for fun!

  8. I couldn't wear wither, but I think that my wife might favor the Bourtons. Printed Wellies are pretty popular where we live, too - and why not, considering the buckets of rain we get.

  10. I love Liberty prints, but not on the Wellies. I do have traditional Hunter Wellingtons in Navy, and I will say this. While expensive, I bought mine several years ago, and they are still highly serviceable, so well worth the investment, in my mind. They've taken on snow storms, hurricanes and just general mucking about.

  11. Gosh, I'm so lacking in the fashion department. While I like the top pair, I think I'll stick with the LLBean boots for mucking around the back yard.

  12. Living in hot, steamy Miami I never really got the whole boots thing until I went to Texas this summer and it rained ALL the time. I love the liberty print ones but would have to move somewhere colder to wear them! Thanks for the bit of whimsy!
